About Mr. Nikhil Cascone
Mr. Cascone has an impressive academic and professional background, holding a PhD in Advanced Technologies in Surgery from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. His training includes multiple fellowships in oculoplastic surgery at prestigious institutions such as Queen Victoria Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and Royal Free Hospital in London.
He has held substantive consultant roles at Barts Health NHS Trust since 2020 and previously served as a locum consultant and oculoplastic fellow at various renowned hospitals. Mr. Cascone is also the Clinical Lead for Cataract, Oculoplastic, Adult Ophthalmology, and the Learning Disability Service at the Royal London Hospital. He actively contributes to ophthalmic education as the Simulation Lead for North East London at the Royal College of Ophthalmology.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Cascone is a prolific researcher with numerous publications in high-impact journals, covering topics from post-operative uveitis to dry eye after Lester Jones tube insertion. His commitment to advancing ophthalmic care is further evidenced by his involvement in several research projects and educational initiatives.
